First, let me explain how it all started…
Lots of people started asking me for tips and advice to start their business, or they wondered how I made my goals and dreams come to fruition so quickly. I realized I could give little bits of thoughts or ideas here and there, willy nilly, but to really get down to brass tacks and make things happen requires more than just a casual drink, a cup of coffee, a dinner of brain-picking.

In fact, offering up just a few tips here and there, if not implemented correctly, in the right order, and within a strategic framework could leave someone more confused, overwhelmed, or frustrated in the end, and even make them want to throw in the towel before they’ve even started! This is not how I want to leave people!

I’ve learned that setting and GETTING your goals requires getting serious and focused about what you’re really about, WHY you want what you want, mapping out a plan and strategy, then going out and IMPLEMENTING that strategy and course correcting along the way as “test results” come back.

Over my years of working with CEOs, entrepreneurs, surgeons, lawyers, and some super rock stars, I started to realize that I had a talent for picking out what was really going on between the lines. Call it intuition or psychic connection or just plain old research and analysis, but I “got” people on a deeper level than they were used to being seen at, the level just underneath what they share with the rest of the world.

Surround yourself with enough “yes” men (friends who are afraid to say anything negative, colleagues who may or may not have your best interests in mind, the people you have hired or who admire you because of the success you’ve created in different areas of your life, etc.), and the information reflected back to you won’t be accurate, or what you truly need to move forward towards what you want. Sometimes, you may not even know what you want, deep down, until someone else sees it in you first and shines some light on it…..

In my many years of working as a web designer I took vague ideas and phrases such as “glassy-er”, “you know, more, ooomph!”, and, “yeah, more, bam!” into real, tangible designs that accurately represented the essence, brand, and truth of the company or individual, designs that had them say, “Yes! THIS is it! That is so ME!”

I went beyond what my clients said, and peered into the depths of their personalities, the pieces of the soul that peek out from behind the clouds.
