Here are a few super cool things I’ve found along my entrepreneurial and personal development travels that I recommend.
Bach Flower Essences.
In 2008 I hit a major depression where I could barely motivate the “go juice” within me that was so easy to reach just a year earlier. Using these Bach Flower Essences was the small nudge I needed to get the boulder rolling from a complete standstill. For the first time in months I could feel a slight edge of positivity, just enough to propel me forward towards something – anything. I highly recommend using Bach Flower Essences if you feel stuck, depressed, or simply hit a small “dip” of low emotion that derails you from being the awesomeness you know you could be.
BinauralBeat (iPhone app, free).
This iPhone app is THE KEY to focusing when your brain is bouncing in all sorts of unproductive directions. If you have a legit to-do list to conquer but a short attention span, this is a great app to use to help calm you down and keep you on track. This app rocks for two reasons: 1) it literally gets your mind into a productive state of vibration, moving from a frenetic “static-y” energy to a smooth and “in the flow energy”, and 2) it has a built in timing system. A built-in timing system is important because it allows you to simply focus on the work at hand, knowing (and TRUSTING) that once the music dies off, you’ve managed a solid chunk of productivity and it’s time to take a break. As I learned in Eben Pagan’s “Wake Up Productive”, the mind becomes saturated by 60 to 90 minutes of focus. To harness the full potential of your mind and its capacity, it’s essential to take a break after 60-90 minutes of uninterrupted work.
Then, you can go back and re-focus with the BinauralBeat app by your side.
Wake Up Productive.
If you want to get your productivity in order, this is training course is the best I’ve encountered on productivity.
“Re-boot” your brain and rewire your subconscious to work WITH you, rather than against you. I’ve found that working regularly with these CDs has helped me glide more smoothly through life, whereas before I would have gotten stuck.
